Ascot Cantilever Entrance Canopy

The Ascot Cantilever entrance canopy uses a more substantial single piece hoop. The roof of the canopy can either be clad with flame retardant waterproof PVC fabric or polycarbonate.

Guarantees: Framework - 25 years | Polycarbonate Cladding - 10 years proportional against discolouration through sunlight
Size: The maximum standard width for the Ascot Cantilever is around 3.5m, but each canopy is fabricated to suit the clients requirements
Applicable Standards: UKCA Marked structural steel fabricated in accordance with BS EN1090, designed in accordance with BS EN 1990,91,92,93,97 for Wind & Snow Loadings (replaced BS6399 Pt.2 - Wind & Snow Loadings; BS5950 - Structural Use of Steelwork in Buildings)

Solid Polycarbonate: Flame Retardant (Class 1) Solid Sheet Clear Polycarbonate with a 10 year proportional guarantee against discolouration from sunlight
Polycarbonate Cladding: Flame Retardant (Class 1) Structured Opal (opaque) or Clear Polycarbonate with a 10 year proportional guarantee against discolouration from sunlight
Polycarbonate Cladding Fixing: Two part Aluminium Glazing Bar with rubber gaskets to allow for thermal expansion of the roofing sheets and secure fixing
Fabric Caldding: Waterproof, Flame Retardant, white PVC coated fabric with a 10 year proportional guarantee against premature degradation. Also available in other non-standard colours
Fabric Cladding Fixing: The fabric roof cladding sheets are tensioned into, and retained by, our own aluminium cladding retention rail system
Standard Finish: Shot blast, zinc primed, and polyester powder coated to any standard BS/RAL Classic colour
Rainwater Goods: Colour coded Aluminium gutter included as standard with downpipes terminating at ground level
Foundation Fixings: Chemical or cast in-situ anchor bolts into concrete foundation pads

Discovery Children’s Centre

We fitted the cantilevered canopy at Discovery Children’s Centre’s entrance. The canopy also provides an additional covered play area.

We would like to take this opportunity of thanking Clovis Canopies for supplying and installing a superb shade canopy over our Foundation Stage play area which is proving to be “all weather”! The work was completed on schedule and to our complete satisfaction. Your company listened to our requests, provided a canopy which met all our requirements and was constructed with the minimum of fuss whilst the school was in session. The tradesmen who erected the canopy were most accommodating to the needs of the children and school and arranged their work schedule around the children’s play times. In relation to our canopies Building Regulations specify the standard to which they should be built i.e. strength, fire rating of materials etc. Again it is advisable to contact your local Building Control officer(s), as a rule of thumb any canopy over 30m2 will require conformity to building regulations and an application will need to be made although this figure can be lower. Most of our structures are supplied conforming to the requirements for these regulations as standard and generic sets of structural calculations can be supplied free of charge to demonstrate to Building Control the integrity of the proposed structure and foundations.

What colour can the framework be?

Each canopy framework is supplied in the colour of choice from the standard RAL range. A match for most school colour schemes can be found with that range if required.
